Our Choices Depend On The Stories We Tell Ourselves

Counseling tips and techniques for emotional, mental & spiritual healing and growth.

One of the biggest challenges I have with many of my clients is helping them understand how the story they are telling themselves is actually leading them to make choices that causes them to suffer in some way. So many of us unconsciously developed a story around a disempowered belief when we were younger. We neuro-associated to this story so many times throughout the years that we believe it is still true today.

When we get triggered, our unconscious pattern of protective personalities hijack our inner world and we act out like a child or a reptile. We will fight to the bitter end to justify, excuse, rationalize and cajole our story. We deny, defend, deflect, debate and dismiss in order to protect the integrity of our story. We do this because we believe this is our identity. We actually believe this is all we are or how the world is. Does this sound familiar to you?

If you would like to learn how to become more mindful and understand how to consciously change your disempowered stories, I invite you to request an initial interview with me at the Center for Neurological Intelligence™.
